Fire detection that warns you in time

In a fire, every second counts. Well-placed, interconnected alarms warn everyone in the building, including people sleeping or working in another room.

Smoke alarms are mandatory, well-placed smoke alarms save lives

In Flanders, every home has had to have smoke alarms since 1 January 2020, on every floor along the escape route. If you build or renovate, you must fit them in any case. The alarms must meet standard EN 14604.

A mandatory alarm in the hallway is a start. If you sleep with the door closed, you often won't hear an alarm in the attic or the basement. That's why we recommend interconnected alarms: if one goes off, they all go off.

What we install

Interconnected smoke alarms
Linked wirelessly or by cable, so you're warned everywhere in the house.
Heat alarms
For the kitchen or garage, where smoke and steam would set off a standard smoke alarm too often.
CO alarms
Near heating appliances, stoves and open fires. You can't smell carbon monoxide.
Link to your alarm system
Smoke detection in your alarm system, with a notification on your smartphone when you're not at home.
Fire detection for businesses
A fire alarm control panel with detectors, manual call points and sounders, designed to the applicable standards and the requirements of the fire service and insurer.

For businesses

Stricter requirements apply to commercial buildings. A fire detection system is designed to the Belgian standard NBN S 21-100 and is often required by the fire service, the insurer or the environmental permit (omgevingsvergunning). We'll work out together what your situation requires and coordinate with the parties involved.

Frequently asked questions

How many smoke alarms do I need?

By law, at least one per floor along the escape route. We recommend also fitting one in bedrooms and living areas, and interconnecting them.

What is the difference between a smoke alarm and a heat alarm?

A smoke alarm reacts to smoke, a heat alarm to a rapid rise in temperature. A heat alarm is better suited to rooms with cooking fumes or dust.

How long does a smoke alarm last?

You replace smoke alarms roughly every ten years. Many models have a built-in battery that lasts just as long.

Can I link smoke alarms to my alarm system?

With most alarm systems, yes. You then also get a notification when you're not at home.

Need smoke alarms or fire detection?

We'll look at your home or building and advise which alarms should go where.
