A home battery that matches your consumption

Your solar panels produce the most during the day, but you use the most in the evening. A home battery bridges that gap. We calculate which capacity makes sense for you.

Why a home battery?

With a digital meter, you get far less for the electricity you feed into the grid than you pay for electricity from the grid. The more of your own solar power you use yourself, the more your solar panels earn you.

A home battery stores the daytime surplus and releases it in the evening and at night. With smart control, it can also flatten your peak consumption, which helps with the capacity tariff (capaciteitstarief).

Modular and expandable

Among other brands, we work with the Enphase IQ Battery. These batteries are modular: you start with the capacity you need now and expand later. They work with existing solar panels, and you track production, consumption and storage in the app.

Backup power during a power cut is possible with additional components. We'll check whether that makes sense for you.

How we work out the right battery

  1. Analysing your consumption

In Mijn Fluvius (the grid operator's customer portal) you can download your 15-minute meter data. It shows exactly when you take power from the grid and when you feed it in.

  2. Mapping your production

We look at the output and yield of your solar panels and at your plans, such as a heat pump or an electric car.

  3. Choosing the capacity

A battery that is too small fills up quickly, one that is too big is never fully used. We find the balance.

  4. Installation and set-up

We install the battery, connect it to your installation and configure the control settings.

What we pay attention to during installation

A suitable location
Dry, frost-free and not too warm. Often in the garage, the storeroom or the utility room.
A safe connection
A dedicated circuit with the right protection, in line with the AREI (the Belgian electrical installation regulations).
Working with your EV charger
The battery and the EV charger must not work against each other. We coordinate their control settings.

Frequently asked questions

Is a home battery cost-effective?

That depends on your consumption, your solar panels and your energy contract. Based on your consumption data, we make a realistic estimate, without promises we can't keep.

Do I need solar panels?

A home battery gives the best return with solar panels. With a dynamic energy contract, you can also charge it when electricity is cheap.

Can I add a battery to my existing solar panels?

Usually, yes. We check your inverter and your installation and tell you which solution fits.

Are there grants for a home battery?

Grants and incentives change regularly. We'll tell you what applies at the time of your request.

How long does a home battery last?

A quality battery lasts for years and the manufacturer guarantees its capacity. You'll find the exact terms in the quote.

Wondering which battery suits you?

Send us your annual consumption and the output of your solar panels. We'll then make a tailored proposal.
